4. What type of vehicles do you cover ?
Car Protect Breakdown Cover is available for any passenger car or van below 3500 KG in maximum weight. Only the vehicle stated specifically on the policy document will be covered in case of emergency breakdown.
5. Will you cover my trailer or caravan if I breakdown ?
Yes, your trailer or caravan will be covered if your vehicle breaks down provided the unit is under 7 metres in length, is connected to your vehicle at the time of breakdown and has a standard towing attachment.
6. Which countries doe your complete European policy cover ?
Our European recovery policy offers more European country coverage than our competitors similar priced products available in Ireland. Your vehicle (as per the details outlined in the policy document) will be covered in the following countries; Albania, Andorra, Austria, Balearics, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canary Isles, Corsica, Croatia, Northern Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Romania, San Marino, Sardinia, Serbia and Montenegro, Sicily, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey (west of Bosphorous) and Vatican City.

8. Is my vehicle covered if another person drives it ?
Yes, provided the individual is driving with your consent they will be covered.
9. How can I pay for my breakdown cover ?
Payment can be made by credit or debit card through our fully secure website.
10. Is it safe to make a payment online ?

11. How to I receive my documents ?
Once you have completed your transaction online, you can download all documents at this time. If you would like us to post your documents, please contact a member of the Car Protect team and we will send these by post free of charge.
12. What if I change my mind ?
All of our policies offer a 14 day "cooling off" period. If during this time you decide that the level of cover provided does not meet your requirements, please contact a member of the Car Protect team by post, email or phone and you will be refunded in full, provided you have not had a recovery during this time. After the 14 day period has elapsed no refunds will be available.
13. Is my policy transferable if I change my car during the period of cover ?
Yes. Your policy is transferable if you change your vehicle, you must contact a member of our team by post, telephone or email to inform us of this change. We will make the changes and inform you once this has been completed by email.
14. Are there any additional charges when buying a policy ?
No. The price quoted is the total price paid. There are no additional charges for administration.
15. Is this policy automatically renewed ?
No. This policy is not automatically renewed each year, you will however receive a notification that your policy is
about to expire inviting to renew prior to the expiry date. This notification will be sent to the email address as

If you have a question or complaint, please contact us. We will endeavour to resolve the issue or refer it to our insurer. If you are not satisfied with the way an insurer has dealt with a complaint and you are a private individual, you may ask the Financial Services Ombudsman to review your case without affecting your legal rights.
